Almost three-quarters of Canadians want a referendum before Electoral Reform
Torch polled 1,511 Canadians for The Rebel, and found that 73% want a referendum on electoral reform as opposed to the Trudeau government simply changing the voting system by legislation.
A majority in each province supported a referendum as opposed to unilateral government action. Women and people with a high school education or less were more likely to prefer a referendum. People feel strongly that they should have a say in any changes to how they elect the federal government.
